With his first full album release in three years, Kingbastard is back with an explosion of experimental/electronic creativity. The album is a daring plunge into the avant-garde realms of experimental electronic music, but never loses sight of the Odd John Records philosophy: “Experimental, yet accessible. Odd, but engaging.” With a unique approach, the artist pulls inspiration from recording himself dismantling an old piano, infusing the album with haunting echoes of its demise. The juxtaposition of the 'dying piano' sounds against saturated glitched beats and warped fx showcases Kingbastard's ability to meld the timeless with the contemporary. The result is an auditory journey that defies genre norms, skillfully weaving together a “hi-fi-lo-fi” production sound and style.
